What is the Forever Score?

The Forever Score is a number out of 50 that reflects how a vendor performs across five dimensions: Final Product, Communication, Trust, Availability, and Value. It's calculated from certified reviews submitted by couples who booked that vendor through Forever. The higher the score, the more consistently excellent the vendor has been across real weddings.

How is it calculated?

Each certified couple scores their vendor across the five dimensions, each out of 10. The Forever Score is the average of all dimension scores across all certified reviews — giving a maximum possible score of 50. Three certified reviews are required to activate a vendor's score. Before that, their profile shows "No score yet."

Can a vendor pay to improve their Forever Score?

No. The Forever Score is entirely calculated from certified reviews. There is no mechanism — and never will be — for a vendor to pay to raise their score or their position in search results. This is the core principle of the platform. Your ranking on Forever is a direct reflection of your work, nothing else.

What does a high score actually mean?

Accepted Answer

A score in the high 40s from 15+ certified reviews means the vendor has consistently delivered excellent work across multiple weddings. A score of 49 from 2 reviews is promising but unproven. A score of 42 from 30 reviews tells you the vendor is reliable and consistent — couples keep booking them and keep being satisfied. Look at both the score and the number of reviews together for the full picture.

Can a vendor dispute their score?

Vendors can dispute individual reviews they believe to be inaccurate or unfair. If a dispute is raised, the review is frozen — it doesn't count toward the score while it's under investigation. Our admin team reviews the case. If the dispute is upheld, the review is removed. If it's dismissed, the review is reinstated and counts as normal. Vendors cannot dispute their overall score directly — only individual reviews.

What makes a review "certified"?

A review is certified when our admin team has verified that it was submitted by a couple who made a confirmed booking through Forever with that vendor. We check the review against the booking record — the date, the vendor, the contract reference. Only then does it count toward the vendor's Forever Score. This is what separates Forever reviews from the testimonials you'll find on vendor websites or unverified reviews on other directories.

What if a vendor has fake reviews elsewhere but not on Forever?

Reviews on other platforms are entirely outside our control — we can't verify or dispute them. On Forever, every review in our system has been verified. If you see a vendor with 200 five-star reviews on Google and a Forever Score of 38 from 8 certified reviews, the Forever Score is the more reliable signal. It reflects what actually happened on real weddings, verified independently.

Can I leave a review for a vendor I didn't book through Forever?

No. Only couples who booked a vendor through Forever can leave a certified review for that vendor. This is what makes the certification meaningful. If we accepted reviews from any source, anyone could submit anything and the certification would be worthless.

What if I want to leave a negative review?

Accepted Answer

You can leave any review that reflects your honest experience — including critical or negative ones. Forever does not edit or filter reviews based on sentiment. All reviews go through the same certification process. If a review is factually accurate and came from a real booking, it counts. Vendors can raise a dispute if they believe the content is factually inaccurate, but a low score alone is not grounds for removal.

How long does certification take?

We aim to certify reviews within 48 hours of submission. During busy periods it may take slightly longer. You'll receive a notification when your review has been certified.

How does the payment schedule work?

Forever uses a 3-stage payment schedule designed to protect both couples and vendors. When a booking is confirmed, you pay a 25% deposit to secure your date. 90 days before the wedding, a 50% payment is due. 14 days before the wedding, the final 25% is due. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Forever takes no commission from bookings — the full amount goes to the vendor.

What is the Client Assurance Programme?

The Client Assurance Programme is Forever's structured support process for booking disputes. If a vendor fails to deliver what was agreed, cancels close to your date, or there's a serious disagreement about scope or quality, the programme provides access to mediation and support. It doesn't replace your legal rights under UK consumer law — it provides a structured route before things need to go that far. Full terms are available on the Terms of Service page.

What happens if a vendor cancels my booking?

If a vendor cancels your booking, contact Forever support immediately. The Client Assurance Programme will be activated. Your deposited funds are held through Stripe and the cancellation will be formally documented. You retain your full rights under UK consumer law, including the right to seek a refund. Forever will assist in the process but is not liable for vendor actions — your contract is with the vendor.

Is a contract automatically generated?

Yes. When a vendor confirms your booking through Forever, a standard booking agreement is automatically generated and made available to both parties through the platform. It documents the date, the service, the agreed price, and the payment schedule. You do not need to chase the vendor for a separate contract — it's handled by the platform.

Can I pay outside of Forever to avoid the fee?

You can, but we strongly advise against it. Payments made outside Forever are not protected by the Client Assurance Programme. The automatic contract won't be generated. And the booking won't be eligible for a certified review. The Forever payment system exists to protect both parties — it's one of the most important features of the platform.

How do I join Forever as a vendor?

Apply through the vendor signup flow at /signup?type=vendor. You'll be asked to provide your business details, category, location, and a brief description. Applications are reviewed manually — we verify identity and check that applicants meet our quality standards before activating a listing. You'll hear back within 2 business days.

What is the Foundational Member offer?

The first 100 vendors to join Forever receive their first year at £100 (50% off the standard £200 rate). Foundational Members also receive a permanent badge on their profile, visible to every couple who discovers them. The founding rate is locked in for as long as you remain a member. This offer is limited to the first 100 vendors — no exceptions.

What is the Booking Guarantee?

If you join Forever, complete your profile within 30 days, and do not receive a single confirmed booking in your first 12 months, your annual fee is fully refunded. No conditions, no questions. We only succeed when you do. This applies to all vendors regardless of category or location.

Question 19

How do I get my first certified reviews?

Accepted Answer

Ask past clients. You've already delivered weddings — those couples are the fastest route to your first certified reviews. Send them a direct message (we'll give you a template) asking them to leave a review via your Forever profile. Three certified reviews activates your Forever Score. We strongly recommend doing this in the first week after joining — the sooner your score is live, the sooner couples can shortlist you with confidence.

Question 20

Does Forever take a commission on bookings?

No. Your annual membership fee is the only cost of being on Forever. We take no commission from bookings. Every pound a couple pays goes to you via Stripe, minus Stripe's standard processing fees (approximately 1.4% + 20p for UK cards).

Is Forever secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All accounts support two-factor authentication (TOTP). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe — Forever never stores card details. Connections are encrypted via HTTPS. For detailed information, see our Privacy Policy.

Is Forever available across the whole of the UK?

Forever is available across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Our initial vendor network is strongest in London and the South East, with active expansion underway in Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and other major wedding markets. If you're in a region with limited vendor coverage, check back — we're growing.

How is Forever different from Hitched or Bridebook?

The core difference is how rankings work. On Hitched and Bridebook, vendors can pay for premium placements and promoted listings — meaning your search results reflect advertising spend as much as quality. On Forever, your position is determined entirely by your Forever Score, which is built from certified reviews. No vendor can buy a higher ranking. We're not a discovery directory with ads bolted on — we're a merit-based marketplace where the best vendors rise to the top because of their work, not their budget.

I have a complaint about a vendor. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Start by messaging the vendor directly through the platform — many issues are resolved quickly when raised directly. If you're not able to resolve it that way, email our support team at hello@foreverweddings.co.uk with your booking reference and a summary of the issue. We'll open a formal review under the Client Assurance Programme and guide you through the process.
